Volunteers are needed to assist with the following activities:

FUNDRAISING

• Research grant opportunities to identify those in line with BCC’s mission, and responding to those grant opportunities.

• Plan/conduct fundraising events at local restaurants

• Plan/conduct special events such as raffles, yard sales, workshops, etc.

• Explore and seek corporate sponsorships.

• Ensure BCC’s participation in key community events (e.g., Beltsville Day).

CREATIVE WRITING, SOCIAL MEDIA

• Creating and posting content to Facebook, Instagram & Twitter accounts.

• Creating signage, flyers, and educational packets.

• Writing “Kitty Post” articles for publication in the monthly Beltsville News.

Intake/community engagement

• Gather information from people inquiring about assistance from BCC.

• Making follow up calls/emails to get additional information.

• Referring people seeking assistance to the appropriate BCC program or to local community resources in their local areas

• Door knocking to identify colony feeders.
